Adria Winch enters Norwegian salmon farm industry
Adria Winch have signed contract for delivery of custom design equipment for Nordlaks new Havfarm project – a 385 meters long floating salmon farm.
Havfarm, big investment in Norwegian seafood industry will have six deep water cages, with water volume of 44.000 m3and capacity of 10.000 t of salmon in total. It will be built in Chinese CIMC Raffles shipyard during 2019 and then towed to Norwegian waters.
Adria Winch will deliver custom design anchor-handling/mooring winch together with 6 ton steel platform necessary for winch operation.
Winch will have pulling force of 35 ton and drum capacity of 195 meters of steel wirewith three sheave-blocks for wire guidance.
Energy regeneration feature will be enabled due to integrated regenerative unit inside electric cabinet of the winch in order to secure highest level of energy efficiency for entire floating farm.
